Hi I want to run JRiver on a headless Mac Mini and control it with my ipad.   I could use JRemote to control JRiver, but I’m wondering whether there is a better alternative which would allow my ipad to effectively become the monitor and keyboard for the Mac Mini every time it headlessly boots up?

I use VNC from a PC and not a tablet, but there is an iOS version so I'd give it a try.  You have to set the mac mini up as a server, then get VNC Viewer for the iPad.

OK thanks.  Do you have to put a password in every time you want to connect?
