For small, suboptimal rooms like this the best thing is always to experiment. Particularly when you have finicky speakers like open baffles or dipoles, there are many things to consider. If you want to be sure I'd spend a few hours moving things around and listening/evaluating, and also testing (with something like REW) if you are so inclined to put your subjective listening impressions into better context.
If I was a betting man I'd say you'd likely get the best performance if you switch it as you describe, so the front half of the room is symmetrical (and available for corner bass trapping and reflection point treatments) and the speakers fire toward the rear, uneven parts of the room.
