Title: Isolation device question / LS36.5
Post by: Photon46 on 9 Sep 2022, 05:31 pm
I've recently purchased a new LS36.5 linestage. After installing a new Mullard rectifier and '86 6N30P-DR tubes I am very happy with the performance of the preamp. I'm wondering if anyone has experience comparing Stillpoints SS feet with the Daedalus Isolation Devices that ModWright recommends for the LS36.5?
I'm using a quad of the Stillpoints under the LS36.5 now and they've definitely improved resolution but I'm wondering how they compare to the DIDs.

I have used Daedalus DIDs under several ModWright components, among many others. They work. So do the Stillpoints. You can't go wrong with either, but I've never compared them directly. Two good products from two good companies.
