Hi Vedder 323 and all Audio Circle members.
I like your (IKEA style) black shelves.
I have the same, but white.
When I got married 40 years ago,
I had exactly the same type of audio rach with cement blocks.
But my track was 8 feet long, the whole lenght of a standard sheet of plywood.

Yes, placing panels in the corner like so extend the low frequency absorption of the panels significantly. The air gap behind is mostly what gives it so much potential. It also gives a really specific absorption boost at about 80 Hz, which of course is welcome.
