Hi Bob,

Don't look at it as being 50 years old. Try this,

you're 1/2 a century old!

There, that should make you feel better.  :green:

Happy Birthday Bob.  :thumb:

Have a nice weekend with your family.

50 years is not that bad, your getting older and wiser. And your speaker design, is only getting better as time goes by. Good fore us. :green:

Guys,

THANKS!!!  :thumb:

Come Monday I'll feel a whole lot better about it.  Seeing that memory is the first to go, the odds are I will have forgotten I even had a birthday.

Take care all, :D
-Bob

PS... you other guys having birthdays soon... you have my condolances.  As they say... "it beats the alternative."

:o  Wow... another beautiful pair of Minis.

You should post to one of the Mini threads, or begin your own.  You definitely have a pair worth talking about IMHO.  :thumb:

That they are.  'Course, without knowing anything about the size of the other pictured objects, it's easy to confuse one for the other.

Aside from size, it isn't as though there's a lot to tell them apart.

but i'm agree they are wonderful :duh:

Glad you're happy with them.  :thumb:

yes,  there is a lot to tell about this beauties.. but unfortunatly i'm a froggy and
i don't have enough words in english to use for it.. :duh:

just to resume , they replace a pair of CELLO Serafin active speaker ( 13000$)
and they are just sold just after hearing the T.P 3.0
with a pair of Electrocompaniet AW180 mono amplifier.

they also smoked the Wison audio Sophia of my best friend...

Ha I thought something was off- I kept looking at them and thinking, are those Minis or 3.0's, the proportions for Minis just seemed a little off to me.  Is that a Leben preamp you got there?  I'd love to have one myself...I've always wanted to know, do they run hot?

 yes it's a leben preamp , works very well after some mods ( outputcaps, volume knob)
but i think i will soon go to passive preamp because i have too much gain with it
in fact if i turn on two much the volume i think could break all the windows at home :o

the deep Bass of the TP 3.0 are terrific.. :thumb:

Tough competition.  It's good to hear they more than held their own.  :D

so when you have very good speaker like the TP 3.0 ,a very good source and you are not making big mistakes between them you can reach heaven

:D if you are nice , i will tell you what is next to the LEBEN preamp in my system..

if the SP tech  speakers are the better speaker i ever own
this is the best (digital )source i have found after many years of search..

but who can tell me what it is?

The PCB looks to small to me to be an Altmann...looks to me like it was ripped out of some sort of small DAC, maybe even something that used to be a portable player of some kind?  Or some sort of modified soundcard or basic network player?  Tell us!
