So what do you do when you're snowed in for several days?

I've DVR'd roughly 30 Great Performances at the Met, including yesterdays Il Trovatore.  I'm a big fan of bel canto opera.  Currently watching a 2014 broadcast of La Cenerentola with Joyce DiDonato and Juan Diego Florez.  It really doesn't get better than this unless one can go to the Met.  The audio quality is better than the systems in the theater, no background hiss, better dynamics, etc.  Soundstage is decent both left to right and surprisingly front to back.  Much more fun than shoveling snow!

I like this album, done by a wannabe opera singer.

That's me right now.  Have my Omegas turned up with of course a stiff drink.  Nothing else to do.  Snow removal is done by contractors.

Pray that the power doesn't go out (we're on a well) and that the generator starts.

Update:

We've installed a propane fueled whole house automatic generator, and in two months no problems.  It tests itself weekly for 12 minutes at low rpm (can barely hear it from inside the house) and we haven't lost power since.
