Very glad you have a 'real music' background and that you've heard at least one good example of Fried speakers. 


Paul,

Thanks for your honest admission.  Please do try to listen to some good examples of Fried speakers (warning - there are poor examples out there, created after Bud sold the name and retired). 


I'm sure Bud would take exception to a number of the design concepts used here, especially with his name associated.  Again 'vintaging' is tricky if you're truly trying to pay homage to the original.

JLM, it's highly unlikely I will ever hear a Fried speaker as I simply do not listen to any commercial speakers as a general rule, short of an occasional Salk speaker, for instance, that shows up at a DIY event.  I'm very happy with the speakers I build myself as well as all of my audio equipment, which means I'm not out shopping, and I'm definitely not afflicted with the incurable audio-upgradis illness!
