You really need to read the entire retort posted here:

Stuff like this infuriates me and should be treated as animal abuse.

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

Another exotic thread.(
Just to make it clear to pets owners, dogs and cats must eat protein continuously for muscle and bone growth, even adult animals.

Dogs' ancestors exclusively ate meat.  Meaning, no vegan diet for them.  Protein is a must and preferably of the animal kind. :thumb:

Dogs are not obligate carnivores like cats are. Dogs can and have subsisted on "vegetarian" diets but that's a far cry from their optimal diet. This vegan diet for a dog really annoys me.

My three dogs get raw meat, organs and bones and as long as I can afford it, that is all they'll eat. After a lot of research I found this diet for my Dalmatian back in 2010 when she was about 12 and I was able to help her regain her vitality for a good three more years before she just couldn't go on anymore.

Seeing my Dalmatian transform like that gave me all the proof I needed.

I believe some dogs need more meat in higher quantity than others. But in general they seem to do great with it. No dog should should have grains in it, but tubers make perfect sense.

Wouldn't advise it as dogs are mostly carnivorous and do not really digest plant matter well.

Hi all dogs lovers....
You should see what the Vietnamese feeds their Vietnamese dogs with.
Lots of table left over and lots, lots of rice
and most of them seems to live a normal life...
However, my wife's two dogs get the Purina Dog Chow grains
or whatever you call them.
