This was bought at Upscale, The Super Scout 21 is an amazing turntable. Look at any VPI turntable as the sum of parts. The plinth, tonearm, tonearm base, motor, platter, and feet, look at this as a Prime Scout or Scout II, with the following options INCLUDED!
Instead of the much cheaper 9” arm and lower end base, this has the upgraded 10.5” JMW-10 aluminum tonearm, you get a longer tonearm with better tracking, also included VPI's VTA on-the-fly tonearm base! This means that you can fine-tune VTA while you listen, which is critical to eliminate top end sibilance. The tonearm and base by themselves are $2200!!
