I just got my uDAC a few hours ago and out of the box it sounded borderline ok. In comparing it to my iMacs audio out it sounded rather rolled off and I was loosing the air of some of my recordings. After several more hours of break in it started to show signs of becoming useful upgrade. I am sure it needs more time. Has anybody heard much of a difference between the line outs and the headphone out ? I am using powered speakers and really don't need the gain stage of the headphone amp. I would love to hear your thoughts especially from audiophiles with the tricked out gear.
