Title: Older HT3s internal wiring error? JIM
Post by: texas steve on 22 Dec 2019, 04:21 pm
At one time Jim told me that it was possible that the base speaker wires internally were wired wrong on my HT3s.  he told me what to do with a multimeter to test (I have them bi-wired).  But for the life of me I don't remember what he said to do.   Anyone remember?

thanks
Steve

Steve –

You can use a small AA battery to test for this.  If you connect the positive terminal on the battery to the positive woofer binding post and then (using a wire) intermittently touch the negative side of the battery to the negative terminal, each time you complete the circuit the woofer should move out.  If it moves in, the woofer is wired backwards.
