I have been suggesting the Burson Buffer for use with a BOLDER modded SB2 and 3 for some time.
The Buffer increases the voltage and current output of the modded SB to give more "drive", dynamics and impact to the sound.
As much as the stock Burson improves the sound of the modded SB, the mods I offer for the Burson Buffer improve it at least that much again. The GAS crew were able to hear a direct comparison between a stock Burson and the modded unit. I think it took about 30 seconds before I was told to put the modded one back in the system.
This is a Burson Buffer that I have modded with new BlackGate caps in all the power supply positions, BlackGates added for PS bypass, and an ACME AUDIO Silver IEC. This one also has all solid core silver signal wiring.
The stock Burson Buffer is selling for $450.00 these days. The mods go for $300.00
