Title: Approved adhesives for affixing grungebuster?
Post by: 6BQ5 on 31 Oct 2009, 10:27 pm
What is an acceptable material to use if I were to try to adhere grungebuster discs to something metallic?

Non-permanent of course!

Thanks

Here are two very good silicone adhesives that we use for various applications:

Hollister #7730 Medical Adhesive (http://www.brucemedical.com/holmedadandr.html) (small spray can)

Secure II Medical Adhesive (http://www.factor2.com/product_p/b-460.htm) (small bottle w/brush-on applicator)

For a removable and re-usable bond, place the adhesive lightly on the grungebuster material and let it air dry for about five minutes. These adhesives can be used to adhere almost all of Herbie's isolation and decoupling products, are heat-resistant and sonically excellent.
