Midrange and tweeter settings for 2CE SigIIs
« on: 19 Dec 2011, 03:25 pm »
I have bought the 2CE SigII speakers recently and I am now doing the speaker break-in. Seems like this is going nicely, but I would like some more bass and punch. I am now looking into the optimal placement for the speakers, but I have not found any information on how to set the midrange and tweeter controls at the back. Anyone tried settings these with good results?

Thanks, guess I just need to try it out. I have moved the 2CE's further out from the walls, about 1 feet, and will experiment with placement and adjustment of the controls later today.

There is some placement info in the manual. If you haven't read it yet, I recommend that you do, it may give you some ideas. The manual is available on-line, as well.

"but I would like some more bass and punch"
1) biamp using one amp for the high and one amp for the low and set the level for the bass amp higher than that of the high amp
2) get a sub
3) get and EQ and boost the bass to levels that suit your taste.
4) get a warmer sounding amp

By the way what amps(s) are you using with your vandy
