I just changed from my BP-25 to a BP-25 MM/MC and would like to get informations about the Hammond Step-Up transformer used in the BP 25 MC section.
I found out that it has a range of 5-40 Ohm (standard setting, or 5-35 Ohm, I am not sure) and I actually have a Denon DL-103 R (recommended load 40 Ohm) running with good results.
I wonder a little about the wide range of impedance (5-40 Ohm) since I thought that the match of cartridge and step-up transformer have to be quite specific to get the best results?
James, do you know if there is a specific load for best performance of these transformers?
