After a two month wait, they finally arrived .  I've listened to them briefly and they sound promising, but apparently need to be burned in over 200 hours to sound their best.  I've got some work to do!

Our experience with the K701 is that it requires a good chunk of burn-in time to fully relax and sound its best, so please assume AT LEAST a hundred hours of playtime before the full pleasure of these cans is realized.

I'm rocking out at 2 AM and no jackass neighbors can call the concierge on me.  Now that is what headphones are all about!

I'll do a mega-review of all the phones I own- Shure E4c, Grado HF-1, and AKG K701 once these burn in.  I'm going to include your excellent Beyerdynamic DT990's in the review as well.  I've got to return these- thanks again- LOANWOLF!  You saved me when I had sold all my cans for upgrades.
