Vandersteen's new "TREO" speakers
« on: 16 Nov 2011, 06:29 pm »
I heard these at RMAF 2111 and for $6K they seemed quite nice.
I like the new look, very similar to the Quatro's, better look than the traditional Vandy monolith.
Anyone else have any comments, thoughts, on them.

Interesting...I can find only a price on VS's site about the Treos.

I understand that they are very new and may just be going into production, probably more will come in time.
They did sound quite nice but I neglected to inquire about any details on the speaker. There was just so much to see, I got overwhelmed I guess.

I heard Richard Vandersteen speak yesterday at the L.A. Audio Society event.  He said Treo's are starting to ship and they are filling the dealer pipeline as quickly as they can.  Treos are Quattros with a bottom ported bass reflex woofer instead of a powered woofer system.
