Any thoughts on the Bob Latino ST 120? Mine is good now, but lots of trouble with the autobias function initially.

I had the auto-bias board installed in my Latino ST 70 about a year ago. A friend had one installed in his ST120 a few months back. The only stick in mud in both cases was that new somewhat smaller (same value though) Russian PIO caps had to replace the originals so everything would fit under the hood. Flawless performance since day one in both cases. FWIW, both installs done by Bob's tech here in Tucson.

Joe s did mine too. Turned out my board was bad, Got a new one, swapped them and all appears well about 800 hours in. The amp went back a few times, Fried quad cap, some resistor issues, then finally I think it's good. What tubes are you running, KT 120's and 5963's here. Works great with the khorns.

My friend has run Tung-Sol KT120's in his ST120 for as long as I can remember. I run Gold Lion (re-issue) KT88's in the ST70.

I dont have the Auto-bias board in my Latino VTA-120 but I ok with checking it every month to make sure the bias is still good. I am running the Gold Lion KT88's since I built it back in 2015. I would like to try the KR Audio KT88's. :)

The auto bias board isn't critical, I wouldn't worry it. When I had Joe install mine, it required the original Russian PIO caps be replaced with a smaller version.( same Russian PIO and value of course) This because there wasn't room for both the auto bias board and the larger original PIO's.
