Latest BDP-n and MM documentation
« on: 17 Aug 2019, 03:49 pm »
Can anyone tell me where to find the latest documentation that reflects the hardware and firmware (MM) status of the BDP series of players.

In particular, I am trying to find out the meaning/significance of the setting "Enable Auto Fill DB" in the Media Player Settings (gear wheel). I have searched this forum and the Bryston website, but everything I have found seems to be out-of-date. Even the notes for the MM 2.38 release do not appear to address this particular "feature".

Thanks.

According to Chris (unincognito),

"Enable Auto Fill DB isn't required, it simply tries to fill in missing information so it may help but will slow down the build process as it attempts to identify missing tag data"

It was a S2.36 feature, if you go back far enough through the notes you can find this link or should be able to anyways

SRB's description is correct, we are also thinking of replacing our forum at http://support.bryston.com that has been neglected with a wiki page so the engineers can hopefully have a more active role in updating documentation content.
