Who's going???

I am a mile away and welcome anyone from afar and let's get together for dinner or something! It's an opportunity to meet local audio nutz like me and for me to put a face to those from the circle!

Would love to go but WAY too busy between biz, remodelling my kitchen, and helping my kids get on their feet moving back into town from Oklahoma.

I'll be there Friday and Sat from about 6 miles away. Would enjoy getting together with an ACers. There is supposed to be a good Pizza place in Emeryville on Hollis (the name escapes me). Martin.

It's good, but there's no place to sit... name escapes me as well!

I was thinking about taking the day off - Friday is about my best day to do this most weeks (most time zones are ahead of us in California, so by noon on Friday the emails and phone calls die down, typically)

I'll have my obnoxious Blackberry (aka, The Teat

) on, nonetheless.

Maybe Martin/Meicheng would like to join us for lunch on Friday July 30? The place down the street from you is good (but busy) or there's plenty nearby at the Mall Complex in Emeryville (PF Chang's, Askew Grill are a couple of my chain faves

)

john, unfortunately, i can't do lunch...i am working (contracting) and have to get all the hours/work i can get...

OK, I could do the show first on Friday and meet you all later that evening.

Probably anytime after 5PM my ears will be pooped if I start at 12 noon or so at the show.

Hi Russ, I think we are planning on friday night.
All, there is an international public market, more of a food court of small independent vendors of all ethinicities, a mile away, perhaps we can gather there and each can choose the kind of cuisine they want?
Say we meet where the registration is around 7 PM?

Can any of you locals tell me if the closest BART station is walking distance from the hotel? If not, what's the best way to get back & forth to BART? I'm flying into Oakland Friday morning and staying with friends in SF for the weekend.

You can get off at the McArthur Bart and take the free Emeryville Go Around bus that will take you to the hotel, or with in a couple of blocks.

Table sounds okay. Been to Rasputin's and Urban ore looking for LP's. Picked up a few. I did buy two 180gram LP's from acoustic sounds and they sound pretty good. Probably sound great on your set up.
