I was watching a DVD a while ago on my projector and I noticed during dark scenes that I could see very faint diagonal lines moving across the screen in slow, steady manner.
I thought that it was my DVD player, a cheap Samsung, so I brought over another player but it had the same problem. These were very faint, and only sometimes noticeable, but still bothered me. I'm sure you can all relate.
I thought it may be my 20 foot long rat shack S-Video cable, but when I tried hooking up the RCA Video cable, I noticed that the noise was much worse. Now there would be flashing light and dark areas.
So my question:
Is this small amount of noise normal and unavoidable, or is there a problem somewhere in my system? I have not noticed this noise when I hook the computer up to the projector using the VGA cable.
