I have had a Hakko since 2004.  It has served me well through many a mod.

A very good iron, might outlive some of us.

HMC has them for a little less but the shipping bumps it above the Amazon costs. They do have a great selection of tips and accessories.

No relation, just a satisfied customer.

Sometimes these go on sale at Fry's.

I bought mine for $50 about a year ago from them.

This looks very similar to a station that I bought a few years back
from Circuit specialist.  They are $40 and have an assortment of tips available.  Several other models are available for a bit more.
