It will be XLR only but you can easily get a single ended output by using a cable like this:
https://benchmarkmedia.com/products/benchmark-xlrfm-to-rca-adapter-cable-pin-3-floating?variant=547648461

Single ended the output voltage will be 2.5Vrms

Be carefuly of standard XLR to RCA cables, they ground Pin 3 to chassis which would not be good for this DAC.

I would be interested - but I don't want to spend $46 to listen to it.

Case for ApplePi DAC...

Thanks to one of my customers (Rick D.) I can say that the HifiBerry Universal Case, fits the ApplePi DAC perfectly:

I would highly recommend getting these heat sinks for the DAC chips:

In addition to the heat sinks I additionally recommend drilling a few holes in the top cover to improve airflow.

The case will not work with ApplePi Volume-Clocker.

With all the work and running around trying to get the Indiegogo project running, I never had the time to sit down and properly listen to GALA.

Finally got GALA hooked up to my entertainment center, it sound much better than I could have imagined. It's hooked up to a pair of my own custom designed 25W mono-blocks.

I just received word that GALA will be certified under the Arrow Certification Program - http://enterprise.indiegogo.com/arrow/.

This is a big advantage for this project as Arrow's engineers have rigorously reviewed all aspects of the design and confirmed that it either meets or exceeds all current industry standards.

You can very easily use it with USB by getting a USB to SPdif converter, this one is very good and very cheap:
