Gain on modded ASL AQ1003DT
« on: 19 Mar 2007, 08:53 pm »
I just picked up a used ASL AQ1003DT which had been modified by Response Audio and I absolutely LOVE it! Very clear, transparent and balanced. Nice tube sound without being mushy or overly romantic. I'm using it to passively biamp my VMPS RM30s and it's great on the ribbons. I haven't heard the slightest bit of strain even when driving it pretty hard.

What I want to know is if anyone knows the gain for this amp? I am looking for a new SS amp for the woofers and want to make sure I match the gain, or at least get it close to the ASL. I looked on the ASL website and couldn't find anything.

Many thanks!

Steve
