Why are Bryston amps input impedance so low?
« on: 12 Dec 2023, 01:57 pm »
I've been looking at the Bryston cubed series, particularly the 2.5b, or 3b, and noticed the super-low input impedance on some models. What's the deal here?

I'm currently using a 2bsst and loving it, even though the input impedance is specified as 10k ohms. This is the lowest impedance amp I've ever used.

Hi Tim - ask Mike on that - I thought the single ended is 50K and the balanced is 10K per leg.
