Rumor has it that a jacket like that is part of the deal when purchasing a pair of Aerial speakers  :thumb:

If you're serious about the functionality of the speakers aiding your gaming (ie location of other players, etc), I would most highly recommend a good pair of headphones.  I sometimes play with IEM's at night and the ability to locate other players by their footsteps often leaves other players thinking I'm cheating- you can figure out exactly where they're coming from quite easily.  If, on the other hand, you want the cinematic presentation of a 5.1 setup, thats something entirely different obviously.

I'm using Creative gigaworks T3, cheap and cheerful 2.1 speakers.  They are quite good if you just want your PC to make some noise.  :icon_lol:

For my computer I use a pair of energy rc-10s, an orb audio super eight, and an old yamaha rx-v795 receiver.  Audio technica ath-ad700 headphones for games where I need to know exactly where the bad guy footsteps are coming from.

nope , no headphones. I was told the T3 had dedicated circuits for headphone amplification, but oh well..they were too lazy to tell even the recommended impedance....

Btw, i used to own a pair of sony infra-red wireless some years back, but they sounded like i was sitting in a big tank. --- Not the ones with big guns, those lucky chaps had better sounding earphones.  :duh:

For computer audio I would still recommend some outboard amplification I think. My AudioEngine A2 active speakers play ok on my computer but connecting them to the B100 preout terminals really makes them sing. Amazing what they can sound like then.
