Do desktop speakers in nearfield setups need "high current" power cords?

Something I've been wondering about as I've put together a desktop computer audio system is whether or not the power cords models designated for source components (e.g., Venom 3s), usually less expensive, are adequate sonically for desktop speakers, e.g., Focal CMS 40, or the high current ones are really necessary.  We're talking nearfield setup in a medium sized bedroom, hence not really loud volumes.  In my example, the Focals each run two 25w amps (highs/lows), impedance 47k ohms, amp rating 800mA.
