It's less than a week away.  AKFest 2007 will be held in Southfield, MI next week-end, March 24th and 25th.

Here is a link to the infro:  http://audiokarma.org/ak2007/

See you there!

I will be sharing the display room with Jim and powering his speakers with AVA electronics.

I will have some new product announcements there and have the new stuff on display and running.

See you there I hope.

Frank VanAlstine posted this comment and introduced new upgrades to his DAC and Fet Valve amps, which performed marvelously at the AKFest.

But I will let him comment on the exact nature of his new offerings.

I just wanted to give a big thanks to everyone who paid us a visit at AKFest.  It was great seeing old friends and meeting many new ones.  Reaction to the sound quality in our room was extremely positive and very gratifying.

Now its time to get back to work and build all the new speaker projects.  Thanks to all your loyal support, we'll be quite busy for quite a while.  I might add that the list of new projects includes new HT3's for me as Frank VanAlstine, who already ows one pair of HT3's, just had to have one more pair - mine.  He took them back to Minnesota today, so I am currently without.  Fortunately, I know they'll have a very good home.

Jim,

What was that Nils Loftgren track you were using for your demos?

My jaw really hit the ground when you put that on.  The sound seemed so real - there was a fantastic tactile quality:  I couldn't just tell where the music was coming from in the soundscape, but could practically feel it coming off the instruments.

Thanks for the listen!

Glad you enjoyed it.  It was "Keith Don't Go"  from the CD "Nils Lofgren Acoustic Live."  It is a very well recorded acoustic guitar with an electric pickup. The sound is unmistakable.
