JIM , how have you been , this is JOE  I bought your SS8"s   some months ago they sound great, I  just have question  my friend is moving so I will be holding his subwoofers, a pair. I was thinking about putting them into my system,  on the rear of each sub there is a low pass filter crossover, with different setting  50hz - 80hz - 120hz and 160hz where would you recommend the setting to be at so there would a blending between the SS8"s and subs
the  SS8"s  do have a tight low bass , but would like to see if  subs  add to sound stage
looking forward for your opinion
                                        thanks   JOE

Joe -

I would try crossing at 50Hz in that case, but it may not be low enough and you may end up with a peak in the response at about 35Hz.  You may need a subwoofer processor to get things smoothed out.
