Open baffle speakers
« on: 29 Feb 2012, 03:30 pm »
I have a set of open baffle speakers in plywood with a support pole in metal in the back. The baffle is 60 cm in width and the pole is 10 cm. The speakers stand on a wooden floor. Is there a Herbie product that could be used to isolate these, and is it recommended?

Hi, jostber. A Herbie's dBNeutralizer-based isolation/decoupling product is recommended between the speaker and floor. I'm not sure what the pole/floor interface is like, so can't recommend a specific product.

Thanks. :) The pole is also made of wood. The dBNeutralizer products, are these the Little and Giant Fat Gliders?

All the loudspeaker isolation/decoupling products featured on the web page are dBNeutralizer based.

Is there a specific product that can be used to make the bass more firm on a speaker like this?

By far, the most common comments and feedback we receive regarding our dBNeutralizer-based loudspeaker isolation products is better bass definition. You should get a better-defined, deeply linear and extending bass, with general improvements throughout the audio spectrum.
