Anyone tried yousendit for music transfers??
« on: 21 Jan 2005, 08:24 pm »
Just learned of this:  upload files from your computer, stored for a week and gives an e-mail notification to the person you've "sent" files to.

Any drawbacks to this??

I sent someone the tracks from Kathleen Edwards' now-out-of-print "Building 55" if anyone wants to listen.  Kathleen has now turned her back on the early CD, but I find it the equal of "Failer" in many ways (and I adore "Failer").

Titled Untitled

violin for mom

wordgamething

bright star

5 years

nagasaki

Injustica

Adarsh

Unfortunately, I ONLY listen to artists who sound like crap.
I've uploaded another crappy song by Kathleen if you'd like to punish yourself:

It's a 71503 KB file that took forever to upload (at least I didn't have to listen to this crap while uploading).

BTW, KE will have a new CD out March 1 (but I suspect it's crap).

I think so!?  Someone from pattygriffin.net sent me two live discs a while ago, and I just rediscovered the CD-R's tonight. She makes some chit-chat with the audience about the NY Times music writer, so the Bowery makes sense. But it MAY be from a club in Michigan--the Magic Bag ?? I can burn a copy if you'd like?  She does a cover of a song that I just realized was a Concrete Blonde song ("Caroline"), but it's at such a slower tempo that I never recognized the source before; of course, the cover of AC/DC's "Money Talks" is on the official Bowery EP as well as my boot.

Tres 8) , I'll PM you...   The Bowery CD sounds like it is one of the new reversable (dual sided) discs, judging by the Maplemusic site description.  I've heard nothing good about them, many players won't recognize the cd as it isn't to redbook spec???  Dunno, just what I've heard :(   On the plus side... it's only $8.00 + ship.

The Bowery CD/DVD is just $5 on the Rounder site that has been resurrected for promotion of "Back To Me"--

Apparently I was full of crap when posting before--the lengthy track I uploaded was from Magic Bag (2003) and is called "Copied Keys" which appears on the new CD--
