Yeah. "Remastering" Miles as well as the album. It is quite a bit better than the original CD release which contains a lot of noise, tape hiss. I probably need to get the latest remaster, which hopefully they haven't pumped up & played with too much.

Best version I have heard is the version on HDTracks. That version was remastered using the Plangent Processes system, which uses a special tape deck with a wide bandwidth head capable of detecting the bias signal on the master tape. That signal was generated by a very stable oscillator on the recording deck. Any wow or flutter on the tape shows up as a fluctuation in the frequency of that signal. By digitizing at a very high sample rate, the Plangent process can detect and 'tune out' the wow and flutter based on the fluctuations in the captured bias signal. It's impressive.

Bottom line, just buy the HDTracks version; it's the best out there. IMHO there is no reason to shell out for the 192 version; the tape machines of the era could barely make it to 15kHz at 15ips and were lucky to get 55dB S/N so this master coud have easily been captured transparently at 16/44.

More info on Plangent

I have the distinct pleasure of listening to an Esoteric SACD called "Cool Struttin'/Sonny Clark" with Art Farmer, Jackie McLean, Paul Chambers, 'Philly' Joe Jones. Blue Note 1588. It is smokin!
