I was doing a search for something and all of the sudden found myself back on Harmonic Discord.

What a BLAST from the Past.

For any of you here on AC, this is the forum that "fathered" us.

I still like the quality look and richness of the pages.

If you want to stroll down "Memory Lane"

Just poke around this forum a bit.

Harmonic Discord is one of the reasons I'm now a happy owner of RM-2's.  Reading a favorable review of them in the late, great, Listening magazine led me to do more research and the Harmonic Discord site.  I remember spending many work hours (on company time!) reading threads by Josh and others to try to figure out if VMPS was for real.  I remember a particular long dialogue with someone from Sweden who was trying to decide whether to buy VMPS speakers.  Whatever happened to him?

Anyway I decided VMPS was for me and have enjoyed the RM-2's for years.  They are the part of my system I don't get to bug to upgrade, except perhaps for RM-40's!

As I recall, one of the reasons that HD died is that one of the owners, the only one with access to the administration of the site, I think Discord (Clay) was overseas, and I had the impression that maybe he was in the military.  I never heard if he made it home, or what happened to him.  I also never heard anything about the other guy, Dan G.

Has anybody heard anything about them?  Did they ever sign up here?  Did Clay make it home?

Speaking of cryo...while watching CNN this morning I learned another use for cryo during a commercial.  Apparently they are now using cryo technology to cure prostate cancer.  Cables prostates, who knows what they will come up with next

I was there a few months ago, and you could not access any threads.  I guess they fixed it, so at least you can see those old threads.
