Tubes - better or just a different sonic flavor than solid state?

Well, I do have a tube-powered computer, so it does run faster than normal! :P  I put it in ultralinear for graphics and in triode when doing word processing.

It's much better the other way around. Graphics become more visually appealing and text flows better.

How many MHHz is your tube computer?

Surely you jest, sir!  Are there really people who actually prefer ultralinear mode for word processing?  I find that hard to believe. But hey, to each their own if such a loony exists.

MHz?  Nah, I don't believe in measurements.  But it feels like it has a whole lot of megahertz.
