6H30 DR
« on: 23 Oct 2013, 06:01 pm »
Hi,
Has anyone purchased 6H30 DR NOS lately? I have a hard time finding 6H30 DR. Have the prices increased so much that they become almost unaffordable? The cheapest prices I see are on EBay and it's $500 for a quad.
Any opinion's of the venders on EBay or am I just making them rich?
Cheers,

500 greenies :o Gulp!
I suggest you dismiss DR version and use the EB low priced at this reliable seller:
http://www.gstube.com/catalog/?key=6h30&submit=Find
By what I know they dont test the tubes its are factory tested only, but you may clear iut with Anton.

I never see a DR version avaliable, they are very similar to EB and dont worth the price(IMO):
ЕВ (EV) higher reliability, longer life and mechanical ruggedness.
ДР (DR) like EV, but especially specified reliability.

What 6c19 version??
Well there is these 6C19 versions avaliable at low price:
6C19n plain
6C19n-B
6C19n-BOC (out of stock)
6C19n-BP
http://www.gstube.com/catalog/?key=6c19&submit=Find
Considering it:
v (B) - military specification, usually indicates a higher heater current than the standard spec , which gives better S/N ratio. May also indicate different compliance, like anode impedance - check it out.

r (P) selected for low noise.

I would pick about 20/30 pieces from the BP version, as low noise is a very important feature for music amps.
