I'll bring a bottle or two of vino....gave up beer a few years ago. My adage is 'crystallize the liver - but save the heart - drink more red wine'

I wouldn't mind bringing my dudded up JVC QL-F6 DD turntable......I'm happy as a pig with it, but it's always good to hear other folks' take on it so I don't delude myself

Please count me in. I'll just be getting back from a trip to NYC, but I'm pretty sure I can make it. I can bring a Playstation 1 with a simple, modified output stage, if anyone is interested.

Guys...
I don't know about everyone, but I was looking forward to just really a "listening" party and not a gathering for comparing and taking components in / out. I hope that is ok with everyone. One thing is that I am interested in the Sim Audio LP5.3 and have asked Nikhil to bring it over to do one A/B.

Anyways, that's my preference, please chime in if it's ok.

Works for me...it all gets too obsessive when your sitting there for 3+ hours swapping out components all the time trying to listen for (oft-imaginary) nuances

. I'm all for a bunch of audiophools just having a get-together and shooting the shit about audio, life, whatever.

Count me in then for....nothing

(except libation and food if one can let me know what is needed: ice, cups, soda's, bottled water, chips, etc - can do if we need it and you think of it)

Please bring whatever you'd like to snack on. I will provide some beers/wine and snacks.

LP's for me.....I don't hear much good music on CD

Will bring the vino....assorted other goodies that I find at the deli counter along the way. If you need plates, cups, etc just let me know and I'll pick them up to.

Looking forward to meeting a few of you that I haven't met (I've met Bill Berndt and Rob/rashiki before) and seeing those that I have again

I can probably find some of the corn-based plates, cups, etc if you like...that's what we normally buy, too.

Given the cost of petrol these days, they are not much more money than the icky plastic ones now.

But I think cables are much easier to swap out...
and less to carry to/fro, right?
Plus, I'd like to see how my DIY cables compare to other name brands besides the ones I've had in my system, which includes the following:

Okay - I'll bring my Revelation Audio Labs Paradise IC's (2 mtr) with me then (very pure silver, crypo'ed, top notch locking connectors, etc)......I think they are $899 pair now

I bought 'em when they were $699 pair (and I got 10% off as a repeat customer of RAL's). Knowing what I now know of cable differences, I'd have never bought them, but back then I was grasping for strws on how to improve my system.

Nonetheless, they sounded much better than the other quasi or all silver cables I've owned.....and the fact that I actually use them as CDP leads speaks volumes about their tame treble qualities

I'll bring 'em. And, some corn or potato derived cups, utensils, etc if I can find 'em. I looked at Long's yesterday (figuring they were San Fran based and might have them) and they weren't there. I think one or both of my local grocery's have them tho. I'll try.
