This is a heads up for anyone contemplating a speaker purchase...
As most of you know, we try to keep our prices as low as possible. But we're starting to experience the impact of tariffs on products we purchase in order to build speakers.
Most of our parts are sourced from American and European manufacturers. But we can't entirely escape the impact of tariffs on parts from China.
For example, we use about 1000 neodymium magnets per month in our cabinets and grills, and China is basically the only source. In fact, most magnets used in the production of speaker drivers (woofers, tweeters, etc.) are sourced from China, regardless of the brand of driver or where it is manufactured. That is just one very small example, but this situation is not limited to speaker parts. Production tools, parts and supplies we use in the manufacturing process often come from China as well. In this day and age, it is impossible to avoid products made in China.
We are starting to see price increases on all sorts of speaker parts and production tools...all related to the tariffs. If this situation continues, we will shortly be forced to increase prices on our products.
Obviously, we will be closely monitoring this situation. But if there are no changes in the tariff situation, it is unlikely we will be able to avoid adding tariff surcharges to our product pricing.
The bottom line is that if you do not want to pay more, you may want to order very soon.
