I would take out my 6 foot wide sliding glass door and just put in a new one. $2500 bucks is cheaper than the speaker wires the 6 driver beasts deserve.

Man I could have some fun with those! I would also like to see their polar response. Bet it’s SOTA.

Based on the gear driving them, I’m sure budget was not an issue. Pretty sure that is a Cello Palette EQ/pre in the stack. Always wanted one of those. They go for North of 30k if you can even find one. Bet there is only 100 of them in existence.

Sweet rig.

Regarding the system and particularly the room :  :duh:   :?

Like a ship in a bottle....maybe they were built in the room.

I agree, and/or each component of the speaker is easily taken apart.

...
I would also like to see their polar response. Bet it’s SOTA.

As would I. I don't think the polar response would be SOTA though.

Best,
Anand.

Interesting to see the dinky center channel hanging on the wall. It looks like a child's toy in comparison.

I would way rather have an Infinity IRS system.
Or even better a MBL 101 Xtreme (at $263,000)
Than those monsters.

The multi knob box at left looks a Cello preamp;
STM a room shop than a home.

Divided into three parts - the bottom part could easily fit through sliding glass doors at least.

I'm quite certain I wouldn't want them in my room.

And I doubt they sound very good in THAT room.

The only thing I liked in this photo is the room.

+1 that opinion.  I can think of several other speakers I would want to listen to other than those (Magicos, Genesis Loudspeakers, etc.).

More/bigger is not necessarily better, unless you want to impress the deaf and uninformed.  These look like they belong to a fan of monster trucks who live in log cabins and have lots of money.

Funny, they sound a lot like my speakers, but not as good.   :green:

Great point Early B. The center channel appears to be two small, very small full range drivers in a dual ported enclosure. I think it's also incredibly funny that there is this dimunitive subwoofer sitting to the left of the console rack for what? I bet it feels orphaned. And then there are the two blankets under each speaker - I guess that's to minimize the sympathetic vibration from the large coffin sized ported woofer enclosures

The video itself is humorous. How do we know that the speakers are playing? That's right you don't. This guy could have a camera on a tripod and then just peaceful unrealistic music playing in the background for over an hour. He has several of these 'high end' designs as links on the side and I bet the music is repeated. So funny.

Whenever I look at a system, the 1st and most important thing I analyze is the acoustics, then speaker setup, then sub setup, etc...The equipment and cables are a dead last, not that they are not important though. Looking at this system I have too many aberrations to list.

How would I get these speakers in my room? I wouldn't because amongst the aberrations I have in mind, the loudspeaker is indeed one of them  :shake:

Best,
Anand.

Funny some of you are comparing some big woofers and a couple of high end horns to speakers that cost a quarter mil. And yes everyone knows Arnie’s designs are amazing although huge and expensive.

I’m guessing for 15k most of us could build a pair of American based high efficiency speakers like this with a bit of help with the crossover design.

They are indeed big and no to my taste in the looks department..But as Arnie knew all too well, you have to move lots of air with low distortion to have really great sound with natural dynamics.

If I spent 15k, got 105db efficiency, low distortion, dynamics that would make most of the standard box Magico’s sound broken, I might be pretty happy. Especially if people were comparing them to speakers over 250k.

Most people in the real world think we are all crazy for our audio hobby. Last time I checked high end dealers were still closing their doors. “Monster Jam” is in a sold out stadium every weekend.

When the fun comes back to audio, so will the fans and the buyers.

Way too many crossovers.

I would take Nelson Pass's giant Kenthorn speakers over these.
