I am about to make a decision on a valve pre.
The new Ultra 2A kit will lobb in Australia about the same price as the Ming Da MC. Looking at the Response Audio site, I would have to buy quite a few new caps etc to upgrade the Ming Da (but they do look georgeous).
I have a turntable with an Ortofon MC30 MC Cartridge - it would be great if I could get a phono amp stage included in the pre that suites it's high output, but I gather the Ultra 4A only suites MM cartridges.
Any experience or advice would be appreciated so I can make an informed decision.
Looks like the Ultra 2A sounds great without any upgrades.
