Anyone know where I can get any legal free downloads? I'd prefer to limit junk email from them too. :thumb:

Currently 8 DSD256 free tracks available in this compilation, and all are true DSD masterings: https://justlisten.nativedsd.com/albums/just-listen-1-compilation?mc_cid=c883b0b9df&mc_eid=d9369ca996 (https://justlisten.nativedsd.com/albums/just-listen-1-compilation?mc_cid=c883b0b9df&mc_eid=d9369ca996)

I'm surprised to see these tracks are DFF and not DSF. Why is that?

We simply put them up as is; session files. Use Miska/Jussi's command line to change them to DSF. Takes seconds (his tool does the correct thing; changes only header block)

OK, even better, where can I buy real 256 files from that are ready? I don't have time to screw around with command file stuff.

jtwrace, how do you play a DSD256 file on DAC that at this time only accepts DSD64 and DSD128?
Is there software that will downsample the DSD256 to DSD128?

Originally DSD256 dff to dsf was incompatible with the then current tools (without some file manipulation). We solved it thanks in part to Jussi's tools. All of our purchasable quad DSD selections are tagged (or if you find one we missed we will resend as dsf fully tagged). They are all recorded or analog-transferred at 256.
