Just got the new Clayton class A amplifier.
50wpc and really rocks with these speakers!

One of the best solid state amps I've ever heard....

Yep, Wilson Chen does a great job on solid state doesn't he?

Jeff, is this the amp that Terry Rosen is distributing?

Eric

The Claytons are my dream amp

Mike:

Yes it is...

I've always been a big fan of Class A solid state amps.  In the past I've owned examples from Levinson, Threshold and some of the early Krell amps as well.  (Still wish I had that KSA 50S...)

This amp from Clayton is a WINNER.  THey are sending us the 300 watt monos for full review as well.  I'm very anxious to see what they can do in my main system!

Jeff:

Makes perfect sense . . . Terry told me the Claytons were magic with his Sapphire XLs (he bought them and a Force XL to replace his VSMs a couple CES shows ago after we co-exhibited)

Mike:

He's not kidding, and I've used your speakers with a lot of very expensive amps!
that stereo 40 is a HUGE winner!  That's the amp I'm buying to go with mine....

Cool discovery Jeff.  I've never come across a Clayton amp, although I do look forward to your write up on the new piece.

As an aside, on the more lower budget side of things; I found that the Monarchy SM-70 PRO amplifier works very well with the Sapphire XL.

The Monarchy is a very good budget amp...
