Noble gesture, the 10% disc.

But given the state of the economy in Canada (only getting worse), and so many getting hit hard with layoffs/closures, it's gonna be a tough slod for hi-end anything.

Agreed - another nail in the coffin of high end audio.

Netflix. Streaming services et al.
CD libraries shall get a serious dust-off, and discs will be flying thru BCD-1/-3/ etc etc next few weeks and months. Vinyl too.

Record Day in-store sales in April likely will be cancelled to minimize crowding.

The new norm, I think.

This is a great opportunity to use our music systems to heal us. It is known that a the frequency between 80HZ and 220HZ heals. [ Jim Donovan- Vagus Nerve Stimulation ]. Try humming to the lyrics and listening to the instrumentals. This will stimulate ones Vagus Nerve. With stimulation of this nerve which touches every major organ WILL heal and calm you. After a few days you will sleep better and basically just feel better.
Try breathing in thru nose for 8 seconds hold 2 seconds then exhale thru mouth. For about 5 minutes. You you be relaxed and feel better. Please investigate this and certainly give it a go.

People called us crazy to sit isolated in a room, just listening to music all these years. Now all of a sudden, we’re not so crazy and a lot of people are doing the same thing. Hopefully they’re realizing what a great investment a good stereo really is. Strange times we’re living in :)

Edit: Great job on your (Bryston’s) part, James. You and your company are definitely a class act. Much respect.

Any chance Bryston will go back to making medical equipment during the current crisis?

Doing my minuscule part, and ordered two BR-4 remotes (one for each system.)

I've been Pseudo-quarantined for almost a year due to no depth perception and no vestibular balance.   Going through the classical CD collection and enjoying the music.

Received mine, you will love it, if you need to control a bdp-1 and bda-1, the code is “716”
To do this, please press and hold the ‘code’ button until the light beside it starts to flash.  Then release the code button.

While the LED is still illuminated, enter code 716 on the remote’s keypad.  The light should blink twice to confirm that you were successful, and the remote will now control your BDA1.

I think the code 716 is for the bda-1 and bda-2. I had to set mine to work with my BDA-1.  Hope this help.

The situation in Europe is rather dramatic. Haven't seen anything like it, even during the war here in the nineties. I hope this will be over soon, for all of us. I don't know how much longer we can hold this but still, my heart goes out to the folks in Italy.

Cheers felas,
Antun
