John is down-sizing his set-up and just ordered a pair of SongTowers.  He asked us to list his SoundScape 8's in black limba for sale.

This pair was originally produced as a demo pair for an audio show.  When John originally saw them, he decided he had to have them.  After a move and other family issues, he found he did not have the time to listen or the space to accommodate the SS8's.

He brought them to the shop yesterday so we could look them over.  He took very good care of them and they are pretty much in new shape.

If produced new with the veneer costs included, these would run about $8400 to reproduce.  John is asking $6800, plus shipping for them.

Thanks for the kind words. I've been Salked...lol  I've heard the SongTowers at shows and was impressed and I have heard and owned many speakers. Coming from hybrid ESL's the Raal and Accutron combo is a major attraction. The ability to dipole the mid is too. Anxious to get my ears on these. That wood is gorgeous!

Well, I can get away with whoring on the speakers, but not dear wife.  I had them ESL's for 7-8 years. Longest time ever for me and a pair of main two channel speakers.

I had some dibbers and my ESL's were sold minutes after I made the purchase. I just have to freight them to Florida.

I should get a freight quote from Jim Monday, but I am leaning toward driving out there next week if I can get a day off.

I'll try my Sanders ESL amp first. I recently let a Class A Krell KSA-250 go, but have a line on another. The Sanders can be too neutral and thin sounding with some box speakers. The KSA seems to sound just right on any speaker. My pre is a Krell KSL I recapped and tuned up. It is a jfet design and much warmer sounding than the later and better Krell KRC HR pre I tried.

Picked them up Saturday Mike. I didn't have much sleep, got up at 3 sat morn, left at 4. Got home ~ 3PM. Unpacked, think I ate something and fell asleep. Sunday had severe storms, tornado warnings, fridge conked out. Bad day so not much listening.
