Watched the video yesterday. I really like the Verum 1s and was picking up the phone to call and get on a Verum 2 list when the video got to the point about the Kicstarter program so I went to Kickstarter and backed a Verum 2 kit.

At $369, the Verum 1 comes very close to the HiFi Man Arya V2 which sold for $1,600. From what Danny had to say, the Verum 2 surpasses the 1 by quite a bit. That would put thie performance above the Arya V2 but at 1/3 the price once they go into production. Through the Kickatrter program, the Verum 2 with just a single ended cable like the V1 shipped with is $349. However, the Kikstarter program ends May 31 so if you are interested, jump quickly.

Looks like they tripled their minimum kickstart threshold so far.

You definitely got my attention. I’m not a HP guy at heart but have been kicking around (no pun intended) the idea of planar mag HP and a decent HP amp as a more detailed and less frustrating alternative to the speaker system.
If I’d just come across this in Kickstarter I’d be very skeptical but this now becomes very appealing.

Now you're making me want to go back a Verum 2 Kit.  I was already on the fence about it.

And, you know, I just installed an updated head unit that has provisions for external amp, and I'm sure I could add a headphone jack to it and rock these at car shows.
