It's rare that a speaker actually enhances the aesthetics of a room, but I think these certainly do.  Beautiful work.

I am fascinated by the intersection of art, craft, and technology that can on rare occasions occur in high-end audio. Mike's build of GR-Research X-LS Encores clad in 5/16" thick figured, spalted Ambrosia maple certainly counts as one of those rare intersections. Photos do not really do justice to how the light plays and refracts off the wood's figure. This picture from Michael Lundy's Uilleam Audio room at LSAF 2019 captures some of the effect.



And BTW with the excellence of the X-LS Encores design enhanced with upgraded crossover components they sound really, really, good.
