I have the 5, not much to compare it to. I had the U-turn Pluto and the 5 is much better.

I'm going to buy the DP-7 with the optional connections and LED in the front. May also buy the basic one to use in an upstairs system I'm throwing together from equipment gathering dust. Turn table with be a JVC Q series auto table and either a Denon D160 or Grado cartridge. I have the Denon D160 and a couple Grado's laying around

Please let me know what you think of the DP-7. I'm more than satisfied with the 5 but would be interested in the 7.

probably be around the first of October. Looks like it maybe the perfect preamp for a Grado.

Thanks for posting. I note that Darlington's MP-7 will do LOMC only "via Step-Up", so for us with LOMC's, we'd need to buy another piece of audio gear plus more cables - that get's wicked pricy quickly. Curious that they don't do LOMC internally.
