Welcome TN Rabbit,
I'm glad to see another Carver fan here.  I recently attended my first Carverfest... it was great to meet everyone and put faces on those I've exchanged posts with on the CarverSite.  Maybe we can meet at Carverfest 2013.   Anyway.... welcome to the Audio Circle!

I don't think anyone has mentioned Podium Sound here:

Sounds like an interesting concept.  6moons and StereoMojo have good things to say about them.  I'd love to hear them someday.  I'll just have to be happy with my Magnestand MMGs...  :D

Perhaps Magnestand could be added to the list of links at the head of this thread?

Hi Steve/Planar Circle Moderator,

Although I’ve visited audiocircle many times over the years, I’ve not posted as far as I can remember. I’ve been an audiophile since the late ‘60s and a DIYer since 2006 and have enjoyed learning how to build components including amps, preamp, and more.  After owning various other speakers, I purchased a pair of Magnepan 1.6QRs in 2013 and later sent them off to Magnestand for pgunn’s mods. I’ve never regretted it and enjoy them together with two REL subs in a dedicated listening room.  I may very well be the oldest person to join the Planar circle and hope to continue learning while contributing whenever I can by sharing what I’ve learned about audio over a period of many years including the present.
My first project was a complete mod for the Dynaco ST 70 designed by my audio guru and teacher who is an audio professional. My first amp was a Dynaco.  It was the beginning of many years of enjoying and loving music.
