Phase information for 626R

Brian,

I was wondering if you could provide the phase information for the 626R; preferably as a plot of +/- degree phase vs frequency, or maybe a breakdown by regions.

Regards

Rup

The 626 R has all elements electrically in phase and utilizes a series first-order network.  One driver handles 166Hz to 10 kHz.  I don't see any point to measurements.

Does this mean there is no phase shift at all across the spectrum?  I'm not sure how drivers being in-phase correlate to no phase shift.  I'm specifically looking for "acoustical phase" as opposed to electrical phase.

Regarding a point in measurements, I'm more concerned with the acoustic phase shift within the first 6 octaves.

In an in-phase system most phase shift occurs in the crossover region.  In a system with drivers wired in alternatively inverted polarity most phase shift occurs within the passband.

The passband is wide, the crossover region narrow.  Take your pick.

Personally I cannot abide the sound of multiways with phase inverted drivers, but I am quite sensitive to such matters.

We plan to install a large Measurements section on our website and we'll include the phase measurements on the 626 you want to see.
