I read an old thread here (2009) where you suggested using ebony footers between the speaker cabinets (A8s in my case) and the Skylan stands.  Herbie's only seems to offer an ebony dome now.  Can you elaborate on the footer you recommended (size, shape, thickness)?  I can pick up some ebony at Woodcraft and make a set.  I'd like to give the tweak a try.

Skylan has their own tweak called the Q-Brick which I use between my Skylan four post stands and Alnico Monitors.
