Also a rainy day in California, but took a decidedly different direction.  My first listen to a record recommended by Michael Fremer, and so far I am blown away..

Thought I'd give this new/latest version a shot.

For me, a lover of Miles' catalogue from early on through the end of his life, my favorite jazz person/sage/leader by far (not sayin' my favorite player/performer), one who lays claim to more recordings in my collection than anyone else by far, yet this set continues to confound me more times than not. I keep trying to consistently like it, as sometimes I do. So I thought I'd give this 2014 release a shot. Today, I am enjoying it. The questions is, what about tomorrow? Will have to wait and see.

Another discount bin find.  Sounds a bit like a 78.  Nice Dixieland swing.
